Eligibility

  • You must be admitted to Boise State University
  • a full fee paying student (8 credit hours or more)

CONTRACT PERIOD
THE UNIVERSITY HOUSING AGREEMENT IS A LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT THAT COVERS THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR FOR THOSE STUDENTS WHO START IN FALL SEMESTER AND THE ENTIRE SPRING FOR THOSE WHO START IN JANUARY.

APPLICATION PROCESS/ROOM ASSIGNMENT

  • Apply for your residence hall or Suites room by clicking on the application link at the bottom of this page.
  • Applications for this current academic year (2008/2009) are now available.
  • Once the Agreement has been completed, a $250 deposit which includes a $25 non-refundable processing fee, will be posted to your Bronco Web account within 48 hrs. The deposit charge must be paid before the Agreement can be processed.
  • Assignments to specific living spaces will be made later, in the order that they're received.
  • You can let us know your preferences on the application and the sooner you submit it the better.

APPLICATION CANCELLATION
Cancellation of Residence Hall Application You must cancel your application in writing (e-mail is acceptable) before July 25 (December 25 for Spring Semester) to receive a refund of your $250 application fee less a $25 processing fee. Students who apply after July 25 (December 25 for Spring Semester) and then cancel will receive no refund of the application fee/deposit. Idaho state law allows up to 30 days to process refunds. UNIVERSITY SUITES INFORMATION
Students are eligible to live in University Suites if one of the following criteria is met:

  • 20 years of age or older, or
  • sophomore level status or higher, or
  • have successfully lived in Housing/Halls the previous year.

Freshmen single students under 20 are encouraged to live in university residence halls.

RESIDENCE HALL, UNIVERSITY SUITES ASSIGNMENTS
Assignments to a specific hall or suite will be e-mailed to you via your Bronco Web account starting the middle of April.

Apartments

Eligibility

  • Lived 2 consecutive semesters in the residence halls, or
  • At least 20 years of age, or
  • Sophomore class standing (26 credits), or
  • Head of household with dependents

APPLICATION FEE
The application requires a non-refundable $25 processing fee. For more information, email:

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Pay the application fee within 30 days – note the application will not be processed until the application fee has been paid
  • Once an apartment offer has been made and accepted, a $225 non-refundable reservation fee will need to be paid with in 72 hours.  The reservation fee will be converted to the security deposit at the lease signing.

Application Dates:

  • May 1st – fall term application date (August – November move-in dates)
  • November 1st – spring term application date (December – April move-in dates)
  • April 1st – summer term application date (May – July move-in dates)

APPLICATION CANCELLATION
You may cancel your application any time prior to assignment; however, we will not refund your $25 application processing fee. Cancellation must be submitted in writing to the Apartment Office or via email to BSUApartments@boisestate.edu.

APARTMENT ASSIGNMENT POLICY
We offer one, two, and three bedroom apartments. Families with children have first priority for the two and three bedroom units. Single students may rent apartments when there are vacancies. Your name will be placed on the application list and we will notify you when an apartment is available that meets the criteria you specified on your application (move in date, complex, number of bedrooms, etc.). It is very important that you give us a number where we can reach you during the day, and that you inform us of any changes in your address, telephone number, or apartment requirement.

LEASE AGREEMENT
When you are assigned an apartment, you will be given a lease signing appointment where you will have the opportunity to read and sign your lease, transfer utilities and obtain your keys.
