If you live on campus at Boise State, washing dishes and cooking are optional! Flexible and good-value meal plans are available for all residents.
Residence Hall agreements include a meal plan that provides a combination of meals at Boise River Café (BRC) and "flex dollars" that can be used at any campus food outlet. Boise State Dining Services offers a great variety of nutritious and brand-name options: Subway, Chicago Connection Pizza, Moxie Java, Freshens, Tortilla Fresca, Starbucks, Zoca, Dawson 4.0, Bene Pizza, Grille Works, Sandwich Zone, Mai Thai, and Greens 2 Go and the Snake River Grill.

Summer Hours
During summer session, University Dining will have regular service
available. Students living on campus during the summer will have the option of purchasing a commuter meal plan. They expire one year from the purchase date and have varying amounts of meals and Flex dollars for use at the Boise River Café or the retail food outlets on campus. The BRC is open daily for lunch and have varying hours for breakfast and dinner.
At Boise River Café alone, you can choose from at least five entrees, a full salad bar, deli sandwiches, seven desserts, daily homemade soups, vegetables of your choice, fruits and a large selection of beverages.

The residence hall meal plan is billed per semester and expires at the end of each semester. Therefore, unused meals from fall semester will expire the last day of the contract in December. At the beginning of the spring semester, a new meal plan is issued.
Available meal plans for Apartments:
As an Apartment resident, you can choose to purchase residence hall meal plans 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as the commuter meal plans Bronco, blue, or orange. The Commuter Meal Plans allow you to purchase a set number of meals at Boise Rock Café.

PROCEDURES IN BRC
• All students are required to present their Student ID card to the cashier prior to entering the dining room. This is for your protection in order to prevent others from trying to use your ID information to gain access to the dining room.
• Under no circumstances is anyone allowed access to the dining room through the back door. All individuals must enter through the front door and have either an ID with a meal plan or cash/credit card.
• All persons eating in BRC are expected to treat the food service staff with respect, as the staff is expected to treat guests with respect. Foul language and unruly behavior within the dining room will not be tolerated.
• University Dining Services provides “To Go” meals at BRC for those wanting to take a meal out of the building. Please speak with the cashier regarding this option.
• Under no circumstance may any food, dishes or utensils be taken from BRC. The only exception is an ice cream cone and a piece of fruit.
