What is the Health Professions Residential College?
The Health Professions Residential College Community is a living community for those interested in studying for a career in a health discipline. Students from a variety of health-related majors occupy adjacent rooms, and all residents enroll in a year-long course that requires participation in: several scheduled discussions on current health topics, social events, biweekly community meals, and group community service projects during the academic year.
Why should I participate?
Students selected to become residents will benefit by regularly interacting with peers intending to practice in a health profession, thus fostering an appreciation for and a better understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of health. Common coursework among residents will also serve to enhance learning. Discussions, social activities, and service projects will create opportunities to discover the role of self in the greater community.
Where will I live?

Desi Hutchings
My name is Desi Hutchings and I will be the Program Assistant for the Health Professions Residential College. I am a sophomore at Boise State majoring in Respiratory Care.
Being a very active person, I'm always trying to find new things to do to entertain myself; whether through running, swimming, playing all types of sports, going on outdoor adventures with friends, or even settling down to read an interesting book. I am so excited to be the PA for the Health Professions Residential College because knowing what an amazing living and learning experience it was for me, and I'm excited to see how the new students grow and learn so much through the Living-Learning Community!
My only advice to new students is to always have a positive outlook and to walk on campus with open arms expecting amazing experiences!
