8:30am-1pm:
When arriving on campus, all students and families should head to the Lincoln Park Garage (map). Vehicles that are over 8 feet tall or that are pulling trailers should park in the General Lot off of University Drive (map). Once you have parked, you will need to report to the front entrance of the Campus Recreation Building.

To ensure the most efficient check-in process possible, all students should bring their Broncocard ID (if they haven't received it yet, they will need to provide another picture ID & student ID number) and for those students registering their bicycles, the bike's serial number. During the check-in process you will visit a series of stations where you will be checked-in to our computer system, verify emergency contact information, pick-up and sign for keys/room inventories, receive information regarding unloading and subsequent parking. Once the Housing portion of check-in has been completed, students and families will move through our Welcome Fair with essential on-campus departments and organizations. We highly encourage students to visit the tables and take care of any last minute business in a one-stop trip!

1:00pm-1:30pm:
Students that miss the last check-in time, will need to report to the front desk for the building they are assigned to check-in. Please note that during the 1:00pm-1:30pm time frame that our staff will be transitioning from Campus Recreation to individual hall front desks. If you arrive at a front desk during this time period, you may need to wait for a few minutes while our staff sets up the check-in desk.

3:00pm-4:00pm:

At 3:00pm RAs will gather their residents and families and walk them over to the Morrison Center for Opening Convocation. Convocation signals the official beginning of the academic year and will feature presentations by campus leaders including Dr. Bob Kustra. All families are invited to attend the Convocation too!

4:00pm:
Directly after Convocation students will be lead to the Campus Quad where the Student Alumni Association and Aramark will be hosting the Short Stack Shindig. This is a fun event with blue & orange pancakes and other breakfast foods, fun activities hosted by the Student Alumni Association and lots of mingling. Students will need to bring their student ID to this event as they will swipe their card for their meals. Families will have their tab picked up by the Student Alumni Association. This is a great event, with great food and a nice way to say those final goodbyes before families hit the road.

10:00pm:
Once you have eaten your fill of orange and blue pancakes, students will head back to their halls to attend floor meetings with their RAs and to finish getting settled. At 10pm the Student Activities Board (SPB) will be hosting their annual Drive in Movie in the Amphitheater directly behind Taylor Hall. The event is free for all students and a great way to end a busy day!
