Admissions Process to the Residential College
- Submit an essay delineating your interest in participating in your requested community of the Residential College Program.
Include information about your personal background, your academic goals, and your interest in participating in this living-learning community. Word Count: 750 – 1,200 words required.
- Submit a resume outlining
- Employment or Internships (e.g., store clerk, summer camp counselor, daycare assistant, etc.)
- Extracurricular Activities and Leadership Positions (e.g.,Debate Club, Student Council Officer, Basketball team, etc.)
- Community service (e.g., Special Olympics volunteer, Candy Striper, Habitat for Humanity, etc.)
- Awards and Special Honors (e.g., National Honor Society, Boy’s or Girl’s State Representatives, etc.)
** Submit essay and resume in word documents via email to ResidentialCollege@boisestate.edu (Subject: RC Application for ___________ Community)
- Complete University Housing application (http://housing.boisestate.edu) and pay the $250.00 deposit that is posted to the student’s BroncoWeb account.
- Only those students who have submitted a $250 deposit and have been admitted to the university will receive an assignment as space is available.
- Complete all requested information on the Housing application in the Residential College section, which includes listing two references (name, phone, email address)
General Requirements for Residential College Students
- Full participation in Residential College activities
- Desire to further develop academic leadership, campus participation, and community involvement
- High value placed on academic excellence and service
- Registration for academic credit as defined within each community by faculty-in-residence.
- Constructive contribution to overall learning environment in the community
