What is the Health Professions Residential College?
The Health Professions Residential College is a living community for those interested in studying for a career in a health discipline. Students from a variety of health-related majors occupy adjacent rooms, and all residents enroll in a year-long course that requires participation in: several scheduled discussions on current health topics, social events, biweekly community meals, and group community service projects during the academic year.
Why should I participate?
Students selected to become residents will benefit by regularly interacting with peers intending to practice in a health profession, thus fostering an appreciation for and a better understanding of the interdisciplinary nature of health. Common coursework among residents will also serve to enhance learning. Discussions, social activities, and service projects will create opportunities to discover the role of self in the greater community.
Who is facilitating?
