LLP Communities

Living Learning Programs are communities in the residence halls that blend academics and daily life through classes, activities and live-in professors.

Choose from Residential Colleges or Living Learning Communities, both of which give you a built-in community of students who share common academic interests and a full-time professor living just down the hall.

Living Learning Communities


Living Learning Communities, open to 20-40 first-year students, give you a built-in community and like-minded support system the moment you move in.

Bronco Fit

  • Open only to First-Year students
  • All majors are welcome.
  • Location: Keiser Hall

The Bronco Fit Living Learning Community is a community for students that focuses on a balanced environment between academic and personal wellness. Students will engage in programming geared towards maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health and wellness while acting as a support for one another within the community.

Business and Economics

  • Open only to First-Year students
  • All majors in the College of Business and Economics are welcome.
  • Location: Keiser Hall

Students majoring in business-related disciplines, interested in enhancing their business skills and networks. COBE students created and manage the Simplot Cafe in the Micron Business and Economics Building on campus.

Health Professions

  • Open only to First-Year students
  • All majors in the College of Health Sciences and select other pre-professional programs are welcome.
  • Location: Keiser Hall

Students majoring in health related disciplines such as Nursing, Health Promotion, and Radiology. Students -participate in service projects and activities to gain a better awareness of the philosophies and opportunities in the field.

Leadership and Engagement

  • Open only to First-Year students
  • All majors are welcome.
  • Location: Taylor Hall

The Leadership and Engagement Community is a Living-Learning Community for students in their first year of college that combines coursework with real-world experiences and life choices. LEC is dedicated to leadership and engagement to improve the lives as of others.

STEM Education

  • Open only to First-Year students
  • All students interested in teaching or coaching, particularly in the fields of: Science, Technology, Engineering, Math are welcome.
  • Location: Taylor Hall

This community is designed for students with interests in teaching, particularly if they may teach, train, or coach in the topics of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, or Education. Students will work together to learn about the the values and goals of STEM Education, and explore how Boise State supports teaching and learning.

Residential Colleges


Residential Colleges, open to 60-75 students at any grade level, allow you to live and learn together throughout your entire Boise State experience.

Arts and Sciences

  • Open to students of all credit levels, First-Year through Senior
  • Open to all majors in the College of Arts and Sciences.
  • Location: Sawtooth Hall

Students from a variety of majors committed to a well-rounded education, participating in activities to explore ideas in the arts, literature, theater, history, and politics.

Engineering and Innovation

  • Open to students of all credit levels, First-Year through Senior
  • Open to all majors in the College of Engineering or the College of Innovation and Design.
  • Location: Morrison Hall

Students with majors housed in the College of Engineering or the College of Innovation and Design interested in gaining a greater awareness of their field, the connections between disciplines, and an understanding of professional responsibility within a technical field.
